Welcome to the Emporium
The Emporium is an established Antique Centre and occupies a stunning 17th Century building in the heart of the historic town of Hungerford, surrounded by the counties of Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. It offers a wide variety of items from around 50 specialist dealers who aim to provide a fine selection of quality antiques and gifts at affordable prices.

Trade has been well above expectation during our 1st year and we have an ever changing stock, including specialists in silver, jewellery, ceramics and fine art, plus glassware, scientific instruments and art nouveau period pieces. Ample space is given over to antique furniture and other interesting items as well as antique garden tools and painted pine, which can be found in the basement area as well as a new 1st Floor with Oriental carpets, upholstery fabrics, etc.

Hungerford has long been renowned for the number and quality of its antique shops. The Emporium is now a well established addition, complementing the range of other quality independent shops. Located within an area of outstanding natural beauty alongside the Kennet and Avon canal, Hungerford offers a host of attractions to make a perfect day out. The owners of The Emporium Barbara and Richard Mills together with manager David Keig are always on hand to offer help and advice when needed. The Emporium aims to provide quality items within an attractive and well maintained environment, displayed at their best by contemporary lighting and mirror backed cabinets.

Much thought has been given to the layout of the shop, which leads seamlessly from one area to the next. The 40 individual dealers at The Emporium are always happy to discuss customer requirements and will endeavour to find specific items to order. A list of ‘wanted’ items is kept by the staff and customers will be advised when a potentially suitable item arrives in the shop.

Enquiries from new dealers are always welcomed. The Emporium caters for both home and overseas visitors. Shippers from all over the world are warmly received and given the opportunity to browse at length amongst the antiques on offer.
